Something a bit different today. This is a concept for a T-Shirt featuring 4 QR codes. When scanned with a QR reader on an iPhone it reads as 'Being Creative With Technology' via Wiktionary URLs. Maybe trying to be too clever.

Day #014

My computer blew up last night, so I decided to do a sketch. I'm not great at sketching but it makes a nice change. The scan came out quite crap (most of the subtle shading is gone) but it is what it is. A lone wanderer in the desert.

A lazy day today, nothing original (I'm ill). A gears of War 2 banner with words from Alan Seegar's poem about WW1 called 'Rendezvous'. They used it in a trailer and I really rather liked it.

Day #006

Today I decided to make a movie poster. It's done in a similar style to the poster for the movie 'The Birds' (look it up, a fantastic piece of artwork). It is also inspired one of my favourite films, Falling Down. It's not a particularly great film but it made a strong impression on me as a teenager. I reduced it down to the basic elements, his cracked glasses and tie.

Day #004

Today we have a series of ties that videogame characters might wear. Can you guess which ones? The first one is free, as he does actually wear that tie. I quite enjoyed this one, I might do a part 2 one day.

Day #003

Wasn't sure what to do today, and ended up just making a pattern. I tried to create some sort of weird perspective effect similar to MC Escher but nothing quite so extreme. I started out with just 3 blocks of colour, arranged it all and then added some effects like vignetting and a very subtle texture.

Day #002

Today I decided I'd like to do a new year and Christmas message. Sticking with my love of videogames I decided to do it in the style of an original gameboy, with it's disgusting grey plastic casing and green pixelated screen. Disgusting in a good way, of course.

Day #001

For the first day I decided I'd like to do something inspired by one of my favourite games, Fallout 3. The vault boy is a 1950s style illustrated mascot for the company Vault-Tec who make underground vaults. The scenario of the game puts you in a post apocalyptic wasteland so I introduced some heavy texture effects to make the poster look old and weathered.
